A year of New York
Hello,
My name is Thomas GRESSER. After spending a year in New York for my studies, I wanted to share my experience with you. Throughout my blog, I will give you tips on places to visit. New York is a captivating city.
You can start with some inexpensive visits:
First of all, Times Square, located in Midtown. No matter what time of day, the huge billboards are mind-blowing!
You can then visit Central Park for a picnic in the countryside. Considered the lung of the city, Central Park is a real Oasis in the heart of the city center.
You can also walk via Fifth Avenue. Fifth Avenue is the "Champs Elysees" of New York.
You will pass the huge Apple Store and the Trump Tower, Mr TRUMP's former main residence.
We continue with our visit of New YORK:
A cruise to see the Statue of Liberty.Weighing 204 tons and measuring 92.9 meters, it was built in France and offered by the French people as a sign of friendship between the two nations.
Departures are from Battery Park in Lower Manhattan.
You will have the opportunity to go down to Liberty Island, the island where the statue is installed.
You can continue with an emotional visit: the memorial of the twin towers of the World Trade Center. Two basins now occupy the space where the towers were erected, before the unfortunate events of September 11, 2011. It is a place of recollection, to pay tribute to almost 3000 victims.
The site today hosts a memorial on the location of the destroyed towers and a new complex, of which the One World Trade Center is the tallest tower.
You will also have the opportunity to visit one of the two bridges of New York:
-The Brooklyn Bridge (offers a view of the Financial District offered by the Brooklyn Bridge).
-The Manhattan Bridge (which is also a beautiful bridge but relatively noisy)
I hope that my blog will have you more and that it will help you in your stay.
